July 17th and 18th, days totally devoted for Quantum Mechanics.
Hardly any college other that ours is foolish enough to arrange the exams so late. When most of the students in Zhuhai had finished all the finals and were busy getting ready for the migration, we still had to struggle for the finals. It is indeed unfair.
However, for some of us, like Racoon and Khgg, it is quite necessary to arrange the exams later, so that they could have the necessary time for preparing, as I judged these days.
These days, I, to the contrary of usual, stayed in the library for all days, so as to answer all sort of questions from Racoon and Khgg. As I said above, only a few colleges like ours still have finals, so it's easier to occupy a seat there. When they were not asking me, I just sat and read novels, until I persuaded myself to pick up Schiff.
In answering their questions, I just want to punch BY (our professor of Linear-Algebra) into mincemeat! It seems that they have neither basic knowledge of matrix, nor awareness of the connectiong between matrix and operators. I found it extremely hard to explain the problems without using concepts in linear algebra, especially eigenvalues. (BY didn't told them what can it do in physics when she got to it AT ALL) Therefore, the ask-and-answer became an agony for both sides. Fortunately, due to my extraordinary skill of explanation, I succeeded in explaining a lot to them, including the comprehension of most fundamental concepts. In this process, I myself had also systematized my knowledge better.
This evening, when I found there's nothing more for me to review, I went out with Y for a chat. I, considering her as my friend, described my problem in relationship and asked for help. However, to my disappointment, she just gave me much nonsense and leave the whole problem to me. It made me feel that my heart is never so close to her as before. I began to detest her idealism. She's too favored in the region of relationship, and she never consider it a complex problem. She doen't believe many things I believed in, like the tricks applied in pursuing a girl, like the ultimate goal of relationship is to make myself happy when, only when possible, make my the girl I love happy. Furthermore, she believe the naive imagination that there's no essential conflicts around benefits between lovers, and she gave no consideration to the strategy used against lover to maximize one's benefit. (It reminds me of Augur, who has a ultimate hatred through such thing she named as selfishness--as, in fact, she even hasn't seen the real selfishness. There are only two possibilities for Augur: she hasn't appreciated the delicate art of trick and bluff in interpersonal relationship, or she's too familiar with the art to love it. I think the former make more sense.)
P.S. When I was writing this, Li Fang sent me an SMS, said that she had arrived at Zhuhai. It did have a great effect on morale. I'll finish the finals tomorrow, then I can enjoy myself!

Get Through Complexity
Indeed, it is not worth mentioning. However, to keep a relative completeness of T_Final, I'm still gonna give a few words for it.
Today is the final exam for the elective "Non-linear science and Complexity".
In the gangs of 605, only Racoon had exactly the same final schedule as me. Khgg hadn't chose this elective, and didn't attend this exam. That is, he would have 7 full days for the preparation of Quantum. Piggy, on the other hand, wouldn't attend the Quantum final. That is, this would be his last exam of this semester while the other 3 of us have to struggle for a couple of more days.
As an elective, we are allowed to bring, in principle, whatever material, including his lecture record, his ppt, or any related books, into the testhall. However, as we have already know what the questions would be like and what the difficulty would likely to be, due to my effort, we determined to bring nothing but his ppt (previously printed by Piggy in a awful quality).
I arrived at the testhall after lunch, but I stayed outside for some natural breeze. It was becoming hotter and hotter these days. I took out the printed material, but just gave it a couple of glance, thinking that I had neither mood or necessary to read it again. I read some Schiff Quantum, and took a nap.
The exam went on pretty well. Besides, I successfully cooperated with Racoon in a simple cheat.
Now, it's only Quantum I have to worry about!

War2 Strategy on Land Map
(Just something written for fun and release the tremendous pressure of the final)
Do routine work until you have at least one Town Hall, two farm and 9 peon. Send an appropriate number of Peons to harvest gold while others harvest lumber, to keep the ratio between them about 2:1 to 3:1, which should gradually be adjust to 4:1 or more.
Send another Peon to build another farm. During this, once you have enough resource, build a Barrack. Once the farm was completed, order the Peon to build a Lumber Mill, and when he have finished it, let it harvest lumber near it. Once the Barrack was completed, start training Grunt. Keep on training more of these and ask them to block the entrances.
If possible, you can ask a group of four of them to scout for the enemy base. Once you found the enemy base is poorly defended, move in and kill all the combatants and as many Peasant as possible. If, however, the enemy has some towers, then simply retreat.
(Altenative Tactic: Build guard towers to COMPLETELY block all the entrances, while train some Axethrowers and put them behind the towers, so you can climb the tech tree much quicker.)
After you have enough units for first-stage plan, and you've accumulated enough resources, build a Blacksmith. Then upgrade the Great Hall as soon as possible. Then build a Orge-Mound, then upgrade the Hall again.
(Altenative Tactic: If you prefer scouting as early as possible, build a Alchemist simutaneously with the Mound.)
Once it is finished, begin to train masses of Ogre, but Altar of the Strom must be give higher priority. During all the process, keep on building farms.
Once the Altar is completed, upgrade mage. Then Bloodlust, and then Rune. If you haven't build Zepplin, scout with the Eye immediately after Mage is upgraded.
If, during all these, the enemy attack your base, use all the units for that entrance to defeat them. If you choose to build tower, simply use masses of Axethrower to kill as much enemies as possible and don't rush out until the towers' down. Once you can rush out, focus fire on the archers first. Then kill the footmen. If they have Ballista, charge at it with 4 or 6 grunts and break it down at all cost.
Build some more units to complement the casualty. However, do not build Grunt anymore. You shall have 12 to 15 Grunts before having 2nd Base, but then you shall build Orges.
If all your Barracks are training units and you have extra money, begin to upgrade. Upgrade for the Ogres first. If you have unbalanced much gold, upgrade the weapon. Otherwise, armor can be considered. If you love axethrowers or you emphasize anti-air, upgrade it.
Then, build a couple of Catapult for a legendary seige! Meanwhile, upgrade the Catapults for damage +30. Once you have four catapults or so, head out for the enemy base. If they have towers, blast them out. Ogres must always cover the Catapults, and engage any enemy that intend to destroy these fragile tanks. Once the way's cleared, move the Catapults back, and bloodlust the Ogres, use some hit and run to make sure that you can alway focus 3 to 5 or more bloodlusted Ogres on one Paladin, so he will die before his companions can heal him.

Grey Day
It is, indeed, a gray day that ends with some bright color.
I've always been wishing that some of my female friends in Guangzhou may drop in at SYSU Zhuhai Campus, so that I can be a guide. Originally I invited Lifang 'cause she's definitely the most suitable choice, and she had been hoping to visit me in Zhuhai. However, she told me later that she'd have something else to do, so that she cannot come, maybe. I felt sorry, but I couldn't do anything, so I invited Jiaojiao, who will also be free after 13th.
Yesterday she sent me an SMS to inform me that she has finished all her finals. I chatted casually with her for sometime before I believed it was the time to talk about the real business. I asked her whether she'd visit me in Zhuhai later, and she said it was possible, though "nothing can be made very sure". However, what worried me most was she wanted to come along with Legolas! She just doen't understand how much would it disturb my carefully designed plan! However, it was apparently impossible to tell her not to bring Legolas, and I determined to ask Legolas to do this favor for me.
Today is the last day of her Oral English Learning in Zhuhai, and I, along with her parents, went to pick Legolas and to have lunch together. During the lunch, I cautiously asked Legolas,
"Has Jiaojiao contacted you yet?"
"Yes, why?" "I mean, has she told you that I invited her to Zhuhai, and has she asked you to come with her?"
"No, it seems."
"Well, can you do me a favor, please?"
"What can I do?"
"Well, you see, I wanna enjoy some vacation with, and ONLY with, Jiaojiao. If she asked you to come, can you find some gentle way to turn her down?"
"OK, no problem."
"Furthermore, please, please don't let her know that I wanna stay with her and her alone."
"Oh, gosh! For what? Why do you wanna do to her?", she screamed.
I wanna say, "Hey, take it easy. There's NOTHING BETWEEN us!" However, I must look like there IS something if I confest, and Legolas has already learned to tolerate my fooling around with several girls simutaneouly. Hence, I just gave a strange smile.
She gave me a so-it-is-ha-ha smile, and she whispered, "Ok, I'll do you the favor. However, you must promise to do something for me in return."
"Sure," I replied instantly, "What is that?"
"I've not come up with an idea. I'll tell you later."
"Ok, tell me when you're in need."
After departed with Legolas, I went back to my dormitory and, by 4 p.m., I sent an SMS to Jiaojiao, "So have you made up your mind?"
Her reply put me to the edge of collapse instantly.
"Sorry but it seems that only Legolas would go. I have some other activities, and have to leave Guangzhou on 20 until the end of July."
With a totally blanked brain, I replied, "If you like, you can come before I finishing all the exams. Anyway, the remaining exams are not hard for me."
"But I really fear that I will disturb you..."
"It's Okay, and I really wish you could come!" almost went insane, I replied.
She did not reply.
Extremely sad and irritated, I went lying in bed, but I cannot sleep.
At that darkest moment, I thought I was indeed the most pathetic men in the world.
I am unable to make a SINGLE successful invitation to my female friends! (I have an impulse to stress this sentence with all capital letters!) Nobody believes that I have really good female friends, and all laugh at me for being unable to get one female friend (say nothing of girlfriend). At such moment I said to myself, "I do have, though most of them are in Guangzhou."
However, Jiaojiao, always considered as a friend indeed, failed to be a friend in need. When I wish to prove that I not only have female friends, but also have one that is content to come for hundreds of kilometers for me. But there was NONE! NONE!
Furthermore, in order to enjoy some time with and only with Jiaojiao, I made Legolas to do that favor. Believing there's "something" between Jiaojiao and me, she will definitely not accept my invitation. As to Happy Everyday, that innocent, loony girl, she has already told me she had her plan after 19. Who can I invite, then?
And I made a promise in return! God knows what can it be! May it be something harsh and torturing, I'll be doomed without being paid!
I jumped up from the bed, and called up my parents. However, they don't understand my pain at all, and it totally broke my heart.
I went back to the bed, weeped for a while, and fell asleep.
However, after I woke up and turned on my computer, I found Lifang on line.
Realizing my pain, she said her activity had been delayed for two days, and she's capable of visiting me, if I was desire to find whoever female to visit me so much.
I suddenly felt a little sorry for her. It's not so easy to come for such a long way before some important activity.

Better to Speak Out

The Fateful Battle
7.12 Morning(10:00-12:00) Electrodynamics
They did stay up all night. I didn't, though I woke up much earlier than usual: 7:30.
After brushing teeth and all, I read some more of my former homeworks. while being ready to answer any and all questions from my roommates.
I left the dormitory at about 8:30 along with Racoon. We had some simple breakfast, lemonade and dumplings. Then we headed for the testhall.
Though I know there's no way for me to fail unless YME deliberately make it so, I was still quite a bit god-damned nervous when I sat down in the 200+ seat testhall. I even began to feel sick after sitting for a while. Many elites had already been there, including Dirac Jr. and PDE Dinosaur. The Head Lady of Our Team was a little bit late, but she seemed not at all nervous, which added to the uneasiness of others.
The questions of this exam are, just as expected, very similar but not identical to those of the homeworks. Therefore, most of them are more or less involving, but not hard. That is, I must spend not a little time on any one of them, but the moment I saw a problem, I know I can solve it given sufficient time and the exact way to solve it. Well, not all. Actually, I failed to achieve glory in Problem No. 2, to prove a somewhat EM wave can be completely described by a somewhat vector potential. I didn't give a complete and satisfactory prove for it.
The greatest problem of all is, actually, the temperature. In such a huge classroom, the effect of the fans can be totally neglected. Once more, the paper and the draft was soaked with my sweat. However, it's not that uncomfortable when you put all your mind on the problems.
Soon the time was up. I estimated my mark would be between 80 and 90, which it acceptable, and handed in the paper. (crap! If you estimated it to be a fail, can you refuse to hand in? )
After this, it's time for Non-linear and, more important, Quantum!

The Hardest Time
Today, needless to say, I deployed all the forces I can gather to siege a bunker called electrodynamics.
As my pen bag, along with all the pens, pencils and a paper with yphysics@gmail.com, has lost for some unknown reason (I'll definitely write an article in memorize of the pen bag!), I have to go out searching for it, library followed by the test-hall, without any result. I have to go and buy all these, and, after I hurried back to dormitory, it's been 10:00 p.m.!
My roommates has printed the problems of the 04 final for me, and I began focusing on that. I intended to write it as clearly as possible, so that I can hand it to my roommates when they need them. After writting for a while, however, I found it's just impossible, because the problems are rather difficult, and the calculations are involving. I'm quite capable of finishing them on a refreshing spring morning, but it's the summer noon of southern China! My body was soon covered My body was soon covered with "sweet summer sweat" as my pen danced on the paper, and it's beginning to itch. The feeling was so annoying, and soon abandoned it in irritation.
After lunch, I took a short rest and had some War2, I rewarded myself a good bath. In return, I compelled myself to come back to the horrible electrodynamics. I concentrate on the previous homeworks along with all the problems attached in the textbook. I have the complete solution of all these, provided by the professor, so I just try to sort out the standard method of solving typical problems. After getting tired of reading that, I intended to type the solution of the 04 final with Word and Mathtype, before I found it was too arduous to finish. I've only completed one most difficult problem.
I began the evening at 7, and continue working on the problems on the books. It was not until almost 10 that my roommates rushed into the dormitory, uttering pessimistic words. They pleaded me to write out the complete answer for 4 problems, including the one I completed in the afternoon. I accepted the task immediately, for the remaining 3 problems are relatively easier, at least I know which way shall I follow to achieve success. However, the typing was still involving work, and completed them in great uncomfortable hardly before this post.
I have to go! Roommates declared that they'll stay up all night reviewing, but I don't think it necessary for me!
As my pen bag, along with all the pens, pencils and a paper with yphysics@gmail.com, has lost for some unknown reason (I'll definitely write an article in memorize of the pen bag!), I have to go out searching for it, library followed by the test-hall, without any result. I have to go and buy all these, and, after I hurried back to dormitory, it's been 10:00 p.m.!
My roommates has printed the problems of the 04 final for me, and I began focusing on that. I intended to write it as clearly as possible, so that I can hand it to my roommates when they need them. After writting for a while, however, I found it's just impossible, because the problems are rather difficult, and the calculations are involving. I'm quite capable of finishing them on a refreshing spring morning, but it's the summer noon of southern China! My body was soon covered My body was soon covered with "sweet summer sweat" as my pen danced on the paper, and it's beginning to itch. The feeling was so annoying, and soon abandoned it in irritation.
After lunch, I took a short rest and had some War2, I rewarded myself a good bath. In return, I compelled myself to come back to the horrible electrodynamics. I concentrate on the previous homeworks along with all the problems attached in the textbook. I have the complete solution of all these, provided by the professor, so I just try to sort out the standard method of solving typical problems. After getting tired of reading that, I intended to type the solution of the 04 final with Word and Mathtype, before I found it was too arduous to finish. I've only completed one most difficult problem.
